Raises and lowers the upper torso from a face-down floor position while the pelvis and legs remain comparatively low. Unlike the related Cobra Push-Up, this demonstration does not include a raised push-up-support phase.
Start face down with the hands placed for support as shown in the video.
Press through the hands to raise the chest and upper torso within the demonstrated range.
Lower the upper torso under control to the starting position and repeat.
Keep the movement focused on a controlled upper-torso rise rather than a full-body push-up.
Use a comfortable trunk-extension range without forcing the lower back.
Lifting the whole body into a raised push-up support and changing the exercise.
Pushing abruptly into a larger backbend instead of controlling the rise and return.
