A floor-based bodyweight exercise combining a simultaneous trunk and leg rise with a reach toward the feet. The knees bend slightly near the peak before the body returns to a long lying position; abdominal muscles flex the trunk while hip flexors raise the legs.
Lie on your back in a long-body position with the legs together and arms extended overhead.
Raise the trunk and both legs together, reaching the hands toward the feet.
Allow the slight knee bend shown near the peak rather than forcing straight knees or pulling into a deep tuck.
Lower the trunk and legs together under control and return to the long lying position before repeating.
Coordinate the trunk and legs rather than throwing the arms to start.
Keep the peak as a moving transition, not a prolonged static V-sit.
Use a range you can control without dropping the shoulders or legs.
Exhale on the rise and avoid holding the breath through the full repetition.
Raising the legs and trunk in separate phases instead of moving them together.
Pulling into a deep bent-knee tuck.
Jerking the neck or using an arm swing to throw the torso upward.
Dropping onto the lower back or omitting the long-body return.
