A standing trunk-rotation exercise with a barbell supported across the upper back. This version shows a larger controlled turn than the related partial-range variation. The trunk rotates and returns while the stance stays steady; the movement does not require forcing the end of the available range.
Stand with a stable stance and support the barbell across the upper back as shown.
Keep the trunk braced and rotate it to the side through the larger controlled range demonstrated in the video.
Return to the center under control and repeat to the other side without swinging the barbell.
Choose a barbell load that allows smooth, controlled rotation.
Keep the feet and pelvis steady rather than turning the whole body with the bar.
Use momentum to swing the barbell instead of controlling the trunk turn.
Force the turn beyond a comfortable controlled range or let the knees and pelvis twist abruptly.
